How to find really fresh beans is Stockholm?

I mean, J&N beans are tasty but almost impossible to know their real roasting date. I could only find something that was supposedly two or, in the best case, one and a half week "old" (Isola och RwandaGastiga)....
I'm looking forward to try Haugaard. But for the moment I've just found some stuff at Melqvist roasted on Dec 28.
Maybe I will have to go back to Sibyllans for their espresso blend, previously had no luck with some light roast brasilian beans.

I want beans that are no more than 4 days since roasted. Is that impossible in Stockholm? do you have to wait to catch the rumours when fresh beans are out? How do you guys do?

Sorry that I am writing English, it´s more easy and less time consuming at the moment for me.

Cheers,

Fresh batches are delivered to Mellqvist every second week, just ask the guys in the bar and they'll probably tell you when the next delivery is. Other bars with Haugaard beans are Non Solo (Odengatan) Coco Vaja (Norrtullsgatan) and Magasin 3 (Frihamnen), Raptis/Ahlgren (Stora Nygatan) and finally coming up one this week on Åsögatan, Södermalm.

Appreciate that info mag!! jag ska prata mer med falken.

I had no luck today at cocovaja. The last week there were just two Haug´s bags at Melqvist, so I was expecting to find something new today (just the same batch from Dec 28). Haugaard beans are little bit expensive for me, therefore I want to try them on their highest point.

While I was at NonSolo I did not see any coffee beans on sale.
I´ll keep on searching....

I am tasting the Espresso Isola j&n bag I bought today: stale. Different from my previous Isola, I think is the same batch then 3 weeks ago. The date is not clear and now I realize that it is June, and not July, what it´s written. Ohjj....
